Lode ECG Streamer

Compact wireless ECG registration

The Lode ECG streamer has 4 leadwires that will deliver 2 channels of ECG: Lead I and Lead II. The streamer can be supplied with an optional custom pack (#950824) for triggering the TTL pulse (needed for blood pressure measurement).

The ECG streamer is extremely light weight and small. The batteries are rechargeable and can be used for approximately 8 hours. During a cardiac rehab training,  test subjects can press the marker button themselves.  The streamer is supplied with disposable electrodes to create more flexibility when moving from one exercise device to the other.

Science

FAQ

Yes, Due to the fact that the scientific research on the spread of Covid-19 is not yet conclusive Lode recommends to disinfect and clean all Lode products and their accessories (cuffs, heart rate belts, SpO2 sensors, handgrips/rails, touchscreens etc) that are in contact with the patient and or the medical personnel with a standard disinfectant as used in the hospital before and after every patient, with attention and care!

Since these agents are sometimes aggressive it might be advisable to check the effect on sensitive surfaces, like cushioning on non-visible areas. Lode will not take responsibility for discoloration due to these agents.
Yes you can upgrade to a newer LCRM version without any influence on the total LCRM installation, The Lode Streamers, ergometers and treadmills will work as usual.
A press longer than 3 seconds of the blue start/stop button starts the measuring of the device. A green light indicates that the device is switched on with a slow blink. A blue light indicates the Bluetooth connection state. A fast blink of the blue light indicates the device
is waiting for a connection. A slow blink of the blue light indicates the device is connected and sending data.
To switch the ECG streamer OFF, press and hold the blue button for about 3 seconds. The green light will blink 3 times and the product is OFF.
Besides charging the device with the USB charge cable (950792), there is a docking station (950840, optional) to charge four streamers at the same time. The red light indicates the state of the battery charging. This light is on during charging and off when charging finished.
Placement of the electrodes: Red: right arm, 1st intercostal space, avoiding thick muscle Yellow: left arm, 1st intercostal space, avoiding thick muscle Green: left leg, 6th intercostal space Black: right leg ground electrode, 6th intercostal space Lead I: Red Electrode (right arm) and Yellow Electrode (left arm) Lead II: Red Electrode (right arm) and Green Electrode (left leg) See manual m950920 chapter 7 for a picture of the electrode placement.
It's essential to use ECG electrodes which are suitable for stress testing. These electrodes have extra-strong adhesion and therefore stick better during exercise and/or testing. Use always 4 electrodes of the same brand, type and expiration date. The cheaper quality ECG electrodes for taking an ECG during rest will not stick enough when the patient starts to sweat.
SpO2 can be used to control the load of the ergometer. In the tab "SpO2 " you can choose to use SpO2 for automatic load adjustment and you can edit the settings (see manual LCRM 950902)
LCRM is not compatible with bicycle ergometers and treadmills of another brand, the workload, speed or slope can not be crontrolled. It is possible however to select the "ECG-only protocol" and use the non-Lode device as a stand-alone system.
When the automatic Blood Pressure option is available on the Lode ergometer, this module is compatible with LCRM. You can program the blood pressure interval in the exercise protocols.
The stage "Heart Rate Controlled" gives you the opportunity to create a protocol to train with a certain heart rate. You can set the training duration and the target heart rate. The intensity (load or speed and inclination) will be controlled by the software in order to come to this certain heart rate as well as to keep the heart rate stable around the target. To set "The Target Heart Rate" you can choose between absolute heart rate, relative to max heart rate or Karvonen.
The LCRM software is not meant to be a diagnostic tool, the ECG signal can be used for monitoring up to 16 patients simultaneously. For a maximal (CPET) exercise test, always use a diagnostic (12-lead) exercise ECG device.
When there is no ergometer connected to the slot, you can create "ECG Only" Protocols. These protocols are meant to monitor ECG while the participant is doing exercises without ergometer, like ball games, squats, lunges or jumps. Keep in mind the streamer needs to be in the bluetooth range of the system and extreme muscle activity of the upper body will influence the ECG quality.
Yes you will need a new license to upgrade LCRM. This license can be supplied by the Lode service support. You may need to order this via your distributor

The Lode ECG streamer is a compact 2-channel system with integrated rechargeable batteries. It can be supplied with an optional custom pack (#950824) for triggering the TTL pulse (needed for blood pressure measurement).

Fully charged the streamer can be used for approximately 8 hours. The integrated battery of the ECG streamer can be recharged with the USB charge cable (950792), or 4 simultaneously in the optional docking station (950840).
